About a month ago I was surfing from page to page & came across a guy talking about a company named Trainn & how he got a free Xbox 360. Not thinking too much about what he was saying I clicked on the Trainn website & read some of the testimonials. After that I still wasn't convinced, it wasn't until I saw a CNN report talking about Trainn. After that I figured I would give it a shot. I signed up for the free Xbox 360 Elite. Just a quick look at my JTAG hacked homebrew Xbox 360. I've done a few mods to it including upgrading the fans, making a custom hard drive enclosure, switching out the ROL LEDs, flashing it with XBR, upgrading the DVD drive firmware and adding an Ethernet port for flashing the NAND. I have it running the Freestyle homebrew dashboard which gives you some pretty cool settings to play about with. Back in 2009 I wrote a small tutorial on how to make and install a cable to dump/flash your 360's NAND. This old Xbox is some kind of Frankenstein... is working good but with many no original parts like the DVD drive, HDD, cooler fans and controllers. The LG DVD drive to be honest is far better than original Thompson DVD drive, because of read speed, almost 3X faster. The HDD is better too with so many space... emulators, apps... and ISOS he he... well the downside of this is the rise of temperatures because of the HDD, so i have installed 5 fans to keep cool the Xbox and a hard copper wire (10 caliber) around the heatsink of the CPU. I have no original Xbox gamepad because i hate that BIG, FAT and UGLY thing, so i have a Xbox to PS2 controller adapter and wireless controller similar to Xbox 360 gamepad, those controllers are much better... and OF COURSE: EvolutionX installed in the Xbox
